Boerne Master Bathroom Remodel | From 90s Builder-Grade to Spa-Like Retreat
This Boerne master bathroom remodel transformed a dated early 90’s layout into a clean, spa-like retreat designed for both relaxation and everyday function. The original space featured a closed-in shower, large built-in tub, and segmented layout that made the room feel smaller and visually heavy. By reworking the layout and removing these barriers, we were able to completely open up the space and improve flow. The new design centers around a spacious walk-in shower with a frameless glass enclosure, integrated bench, and custom recessed niche for both function and visual interest. A freestanding soaking tub adds a modern focal point while enhancing the overall sense of relaxation. Large-format tile in soft, neutral tones carries throughout the space, creating a seamless and calming aesthetic. Updated fixtures in a matte black finish provide contrast and a more contemporary feel, while improved lighting and natural light from the skylight brighten the entire room. This project is a perfect example of how rethinking layout and simplifying materials can completely transform a bathroom into a modern, spa-inspired space.
