This Cibolo bathroom remodel completely transformed a dark and dated bathroom into a sleek, modern retreat centered around a spacious custom walk-in shower. The original layout featured a small enclosed shower, large soaking tub, dark cabinetry, and heavy finishes that made the room feel closed in and underutilized. The homeowners wanted a brighter, more functional design with cleaner lines and a more luxurious everyday experience. The centerpiece of the remodel is the oversized walk-in shower wrapped in dramatic marble-look wall panels with minimal grout lines for a seamless, low-maintenance finish. Two custom oversized benches adds comfort and convenience while preserving the open feel of the space. One of the most thoughtful features of this shower is the placement of the shower valve outside the direct spray area, allowing the homeowner to turn on the water and let it warm up before stepping into the shower — no more standing in a cold stream waiting for the temperature to adjust. To maintain the clean modern aesthetic, the storage niche was intentionally tucked behind the pony wall, keeping shower products accessible without interrupting the visual simplicity of the design.
