This Braun Station bathroom remodel blends modern updates with the home’s original character by combining glossy sage subway tile with Saltillo tile flooring for an updated look on a San Antonio classic. The original bathroom felt dated and lacked visual impact, with aging finishes and a basic tub surround. During the renovation, the space was transformed with a new bathtub and full-height sage green subway tile surround that adds depth, texture, and personality while still feeling timeless. Matte black plumbing fixtures and accessories provide bold contrast against the soft green tile and crisp white grout. A recessed shower niche was added for functional storage, while updated lighting, a modern round mirror, and a sleek vanity helped brighten and modernize the room. One of our favorite aspects of this project was mixing the warm terracotta tones in the floor with the sage tile of the shower surround, give the overall design to a distinctive mix of modern and traditional elements.
