New Braunfels Bathroom Remodel with Freestanding Tub and Expanded Walk-In Shower
This New Braunfels bathroom remodel completely reimagined a dark and compartmentalized primary bathroom into a bright, open, and modern retreat designed for everyday comfort and luxury. The original layout featured a large built-in corner tub, enclosed shower with framed glass, oversized mirrors, and builder-grade finishes that made the room feel visually heavy and dated. The homeowners wanted a cleaner, more timeless design with better functionality and improved flow throughout the space. One of the most dramatic changes came from removing the bulky corner tub deck and enclosed shower walls. In their place, we designed a spacious walk-in shower with large-format marble-look wall tile, frameless glass, and a low-threshold entry that immediately opened the room visually. A freestanding soaking tub positioned beside the windows now creates a calm focal point while maximizing natural light throughout the bathroom. The updated layout feels significantly more open and airy without changing the overall footprint of the room. The custom natural wood vanity cabinetry added warmth and texture while improving storage and organization. Paired with modern black fixtures, quartz countertops, recessed lighting, and large-format flooring, the space now feels elevated yet approachable. The finished result blends clean contemporary lines with warm organic tones for a bathroom that feels both luxurious and comfortable.
