New Braunfels Kitchen Remodel | Custom Two-Tone Cabinets & Statement Island
This New Braunfels kitchen remodel transformed a dark, traditional space into a bright, modern gathering hub designed for entertaining and everyday living. The original kitchen featured heavy cherry cabinetry, diagonal tile flooring, and a raised bar island that visually separated the space. While functional, it felt closed in and dated. Legacy Bath & Kitchen reimagined the layout to create a more open, cohesive, and visually balanced kitchen. Layout Transformation One of the biggest changes was redesigning the island. The raised bar was removed and replaced with a large, single-level island that: Improves sightlines to the living space Creates additional prep surface Adds seating for family and guests Features integrated pet feeding stations By lowering and expanding the island, the kitchen now feels open and connected to the rest of the home. Cabinetry & Color Strategy The homeowners chose a two-tone cabinet design for depth and contrast: Light perimeter cabinetry to brighten the space A bold, dark island for visual grounding Custom upper glass display cabinets with interior lighting Modern brass hardware for warmth This combination creates a sophisticated yet welcoming aesthetic — perfect for New Braunfels homes that blend contemporary updates with traditional warmth. Finishes & Details Additional upgrades include: Warm wood flooring replacing tile White quartz countertops Black and gold statement pendant lighting Farmhouse-style apron-front sink Updated stainless steel appliances Herringbone backsplash detail Every finish was selected to elevate the kitchen without losing its inviting character.
