Windcrest Kitchen Remodel Peninsula to Island Before and After
This Windcrest kitchen remodel completely reoriented the space by removing the existing peninsula and overhead cabinets, opening up the kitchen and dramatically improving flow and functionality. The original layout felt closed in and segmented, with limited prep space and visual connection to the surrounding living areas. By eliminating the peninsula and bulky overhang cabinetry, we were able to introduce a large central island that now serves as the hub of the kitchen. The new island provides generous seating, added storage, and expansive countertop space ideal for everyday meals and entertaining. Updated cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a patterned backsplash bring warmth and texture to the refreshed design, while improved lighting and flooring help unify the entire space. The finished kitchen feels brighter, more open, and thoughtfully designed for how the homeowners live and gather.
