HVAC B-Vent Update

January 2026

Title: Vent Pipe Rehabilitation & Flashing Replacement The Problem: We were called out to inspect a recurring leak. As you can see in the "before" photo, the previous solution was to layer thick roofing mastic (tar) over old, failing flashing. Over time, the sun and temperature shifts caused the sealant to crack and pull away from the pipe, creating a direct path for water to enter the home. Our Solution: We performed a complete "tear-off" of the failing materials. Instead of adding more sealant, we installed a brand-new, code-compliant venting system, including: New Galvanized Roof Flashing: Properly integrated with the shingle courses to shed water naturally. Precision Storm Collar: A clean, tight seal to prevent water from running down the pipe. High-Efficiency Vent Cap: Replacing the aged, rusted cap to ensure proper airflow and protection from debris. The Result: A clean, professional finish that doesn't just look better—it’s engineered to keep the home dry for decades.
