Once it was gone, we didn't just slap some metal over the hole; we actually prepped the area with a heavy-duty EPDM membrane patch to make sure the foundation was rock-solid and watertight. The real "star of the show" is the finish, though. We installed these brand-new standing seam metal panels. If you look at the "after" shots, you can see how much cleaner that roofline looks without the HVAC unit in the way. Since it’s a standing seam system, all the fasteners are hidden, which means no exposed screws to rust or back out over time. The white finish is also a game-changer.
