Custom Seattle DADU
This custom DADU in Seattle represents a project we’re especially proud of—built for our own structural engineer, who trusted us to construct his personal home. Situated on a generous Seattle lot, the new DADU was designed as a high‑efficiency residence for the family to live in while planning a future upgrade to their existing 700 sq. ft. bungalow. The home showcases premium craftsmanship and custom details throughout, including built‑in shelving fabricated in our in‑house wood shop. With an emphasis on sustainability and performance, the DADU was constructed with a tight 1.9 ACH building envelope, high‑efficiency HVAC, enhanced insulation assemblies, and an exterior rain screen system to maximize siding durability and long‑term resilience. A large solar installation further elevates the home’s energy efficiency and reduces operating costs. Every square foot was thoughtfully designed to maximize livability and comfort without sacrificing quality. It was a privilege to be selected by an industry expert to bring their personal vision to life, and this project stands as a testament to our expertise in custom residential construction, high‑performance building methods, and precision craftsmanship.
