We were called out to investigate water leaking around a chimney area on a church roof. After inspecting the area, we found the nearby gutter was packed with debris, likely causing water to overflow and run back behind the fascia and soffit and into the building. To address the issue, we: Cleaned the gutters and removed the debris in the affected area Installed a missing kickout flashing to properly direct water into the gutter Sealed vulnerable areas with exterior-grade silicone to help prevent further water intrusion Not every roof leak requires a new roof. Sometimes a thorough inspection can identify a specific drainage or flashing issue that can be corrected with a targeted repair.
