Vinyl siding, insulation, and a piece of wood siding needed removed in order to expose the step flashing. The gutters needed partially detached to remove and replace the vinyl siding. Kickout flashing was installed behind the step flashing in order to function properly, maintaining positive water flow all the way into the gutters.
