Achieving a striking modern aesthetic, this full exterior remodeling project showcases the installation of CertainTeed Cedar Impressions® 7" Straight Edge Perfection Shake in Charcoal. Built to capture the organic, shadow-rich profile of real cedar shingles, this high-performance polymer siding system resists warping, rot, and severe weather while maintaining an elevated, low-maintenance finish across all home elevations. Prior to siding installation, our team performed full demolition of existing siding, trim, and gutters down to the substrate, wrapping the structure in high-performance weather barrier tape and house wrap. To create architectural definition, we framed doors and windows with custom white PVC/Fypon trim headers featuring a classic Crown with Keystone design, anchored by oversized 5-inch white 'Super Corners.' The project was completed with new vented white vinyl soffits, custom aluminum-wrapped fascia, black apron flashing along the rear bay window, 13 pairs of rich black vinyl shutters, and a 5-inch black gutter system. From the rigorous surface preparation and weatherproofing to the precision-mitered shake alignment and custom decorative trim headers, this job demonstrates the high standard of technical execution required for a complete CertainTeed Cedar Impressions exterior renovation.
