Our McCray & Sons Home Services team recently completed a full bathroom transformation in West Sacramento. The space came to us stripped to the studs, and our crew rebuilt and finished the entire room from the ground up. What We Did Demo & Prep Removed the old bathtub and vanity. Scraped the wood ceiling to remove texture and prep for paint. Prepped framing, drain lines, and plumbing for a new walk-in shower system. Shower Upgrade The centerpiece of this remodel was the FlexStone system — chosen for its durability, style, and premium finish. Installed the FlexStone 60" x 30" Alcove Shower Pan (Oyster finish). Installed the FlexStone 9-Piece Wall Surround Kit (Oyster finish) for a seamless stone-like look. Added the FlexStone 48" Window Trim Kit to professionally waterproof and trim the shower window. 👉 We love how FlexStone products elevate a remodel. The wall panels and shower pan create a solid, high-end surface, and the window kit made a world of difference. Most kits don’t properly handle windows without looking cheap — this solution delivered a professional, watertight finish that truly sets the shower apart. Additional upgrades: Installed a Delta Arvo In2ition 2-in-1 shower system with integrated rough-in valve (chrome finish). Installed an Oatey stainless steel shower drain. Walls & Paint Hung new drywall throughout the bathroom, including full installation on the left wall and partial replacement on the right. Completed taping, skimming, texturing, and blending into existing finishes. Primed and painted the entire bathroom (walls, ceiling, and trim) for a fresh, uniform appearance. Flooring & Fixtures Installed Sterling Oak waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring. Installed and painted new baseboards. Reset the toilet with new seals after flooring install. Vanity & Plumbing Installed a Sedgewood single-sink vanity with Arctic solid surface top. Added a Delta Casara chrome faucet. Updated plumbing connections, including new Dahl quarter-turn angle stops for reliable shutoff. Connected and tested supply lines, P-trap, and drain assembly. Final Touches The bathroom was completed with fresh paint, new trim, and a modern shower curtain rod.
