This Harvard, MA project addressed active chimney leakage and improved overall roof ventilation and protection. The chimney repair involved the full removal of deteriorated flashing and surrounding underlayment. The team installed Owens Corning Ice & Water Shield around the chimney deck to ensure a watertight seal before applying new lead flashing, following Massachusetts building code and manufacturer guidelines. During the roof scope, we re-nailed loose decking, installed MRD Synthetic Underlayment, and applied Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles for long-term durability and performance. The ridge line was reconstructed with a new ridge vent and solar fan upgrade, improving attic airflow and reducing heat buildup. All debris was fully removed, and a magnetic sweep ensured a clean and safe property. This project was designed to blend function and form — protecting against leaks while enhancing ventilation and energy efficiency.
