This Groton project involved targeted siding and gutter restoration to protect the home’s exterior and improve long-term performance. Approximately two squares of pre-clapboard siding were removed and replaced, with full inspection and reinforcement of the underlying sheathing. Damaged plywood was swapped out with CDX panels, and all window perimeters were re-flashed for proper water management. New PVC window trim and corner boards were installed for durability and a seamless match with existing finishes. On the gutter system, 74 linear feet of aging gutters and rotted shadow boards were replaced. We installed new PVC shadow boards, fabricated seamless .032-gauge aluminum gutters, and added 3"x4" downspouts. For added performance, the system was upgraded with the AluRex DoublePro Continuous Hanger, providing built-in reinforcement and integrated leaf guard protection. Backed by a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty, this project ensures long-lasting curb appeal and resilient weather protection.
