The gutters were still in place, but they weren't doing their job — failed seals, sagging runs, and water slipping behind the system at the rear roof edge. Rather than tear everything off and start over, we rebuilt what was there into something stronger. We cleaned and flushed the full system, stripped out the failed sealant, and resealed every seam, miter, end cap, and outlet. Sagging sections were re-hung, pitches were corrected, and fasteners reinforced so water actually moves toward the downspouts. Inside the gutters, we installed the AluRex DoublePro system — a continuous aluminum hanger fastened directly to the fascia that doubles as built-in leaf protection. It reinforces the entire run while keeping debris out and water in. To fix the rear roof edge, we installed custom slip flashing beneath the drip edge, extending it into the gutter so water gets captured instead of running behind the system and down the fascia.
