James Hardie Lap Siding Installation

This project features the installation of James Hardie 5” exposure lap siding, following strict manufacturer guidelines to ensure both durability and curb appeal. The scope began with the full removal of two layers of existing siding, inspection of underlying sheathing, and installation of HardieWrap® weather barrier with flashing for a watertight seal. James Hardie ColorPlus® siding was carefully installed with a consistent 5” exposure, supported by PVC trim boards around corners, windows, doors, rakes, fascia, and soffits. Metal flashing, Z-flashing, and joint flashing were integrated at transitions to reinforce weather resistance. Daily jobsite cleanup, OSHA-compliant safety practices, and a final homeowner walkthrough were part of the process. The project is backed by James Hardie’s 30-year product warranty and a 5-year workmanship warranty from Mighty Dog Roofing, ensuring lasting protection and performance.
