We replaced three leaking skylights—two above the dining room and one in the kitchen—with VELUX S06 fixed skylights featuring solar shades and a stain-grade wood interior finish. The installation included full Grace ice & water barrier, step flashing, and GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Hickory for a watertight seal. Inside, we rebuilt the trim to match the home’s original style, repaired ceiling drywall, checked insulation for mold, and repainted with matching textures. To further protect the home, we repointed chimney mortar and resealed flashing to prevent future water intrusion. The project was finished with a thorough clean-up, magnetic sweep, and backed by a 10-year VELUX installation warranty plus a 5-year Mighty Dog workmanship warranty.
