At this Westford residence, we executed a full roof replacement using premium GAF Timberline HDZ® Architectural Shingles in Charcoal Black, installed over GAF WeatherWatch® ice and water barrier and Tiger Paw™ synthetic underlayment for maximum protection. The project also included new drip edge, vent pipe boots, ridge vent, and Seal-A-Ridge® hip and ridge caps, ensuring a watertight system built to last. To meet Massachusetts code and manufacturer standards, ½” CDX plywood was added over spaced board decking, securing a strong foundation for the new roofing system. In addition, we safely removed the existing chimney, framing in and re-sheathing the opening with CDX plywood for a seamless repair. Two rain diverters were installed above the entry doors to improve water management. The new system is backed by the GAF System Plus Warranty, providing homeowners with lifetime coverage, wind resistance up to 130 MPH, algae protection, and a 50-year non-prorated period for peace of mind.
