Roof Replacement & EPDM Flat Roof Installation, Billerica, MA

For this Billerica home, we provided a complete roofing system upgrade to ensure lasting protection and performance. The project began with the full removal of the existing asphalt shingles, re-nailing of loose decking, and proper disposal of all debris. We installed aluminum drip edge, new step flashing, lead counter flashing at the chimney, and new vent pipe boots. High-performance underlayments were used, including Rhino Ice & Water Shield at eaves, valleys, and penetrations, and Mighty Dog U20 Synthetic Underlayment across the remaining deck. The roof was finished with Owens Corning TruDefinition Oakridge Lifetime Dimensional Shingles in Estate Gray, capped with ProEdge hip & ridge shingles, and ventilated with an Owens Corning ridge vent. Additionally, a 5-square Mule-Hide EPDM roofing system was installed on the flat section. This system included full membrane removal, deck inspection and repair, installation of 60 mil Mule-Hide EPDM membrane fully adhered, precision flashing of all penetrations, and Mule-Hide approved edge metal. This installation qualifies for up to a 20-year manufacturer material warranty. The homeowner also benefits from the Owens Corning Platinum Protection Warranty, offering lifetime coverage on shingles and up to 50 years of workmanship protection.
