Roof Replacement & Ventilation Upgrade – Westford, MA

This Westford project included a complete roof replacement along with significant ventilation improvements. The existing shingles were fully removed, decking was re-nailed, and all debris was disposed of properly. We installed Rhino ice & water barrier at eaves, valleys, and penetrations, along with Mighty Dog U20 synthetic underlayment across the rest of the roof. The new roofing system featured Owens Corning Oakridge Limited Lifetime Shingles in Estate Gray, capped with ProEdge hip & ridge shingles for durability and style. To improve attic airflow and prevent future moisture issues, the project included a full ventilation upgrade. We installed an Owens Corning ridge vent, removed the old soffit, and replaced it with new continuous vented PVC soffit. Inside the attic, insulation was pushed back and baffles were installed to allow airflow into the attic. The gable vents were blocked off with CDX and vapor barrier to ensure the ventilation system worked correctly. The project concluded with a meticulous cleanup and magnetic sweep, and the homeowner received both a 5-Year Mighty Dog Workmanship Warranty and the Owens Corning Platinum Protection Warranty for long-term peace of mind.
