We performed a thorough roof inspection on this single-story residence in New Bern to evaluate the condition of the existing roofing system. Our team carefully assessed the asphalt architectural shingles, brick chimney flashing, and various roof-to-wall transitions to identify points of failure. We focused on documenting specific entry points for water intrusion that were causing visible symptoms both inside and outside the property. During the evaluation, we identified significant granular loss, moss growth, and cracked shingles across the roof field. We also noted gaps in the exterior siding, failing sealant on plumbing boots, and debris-filled gutters that were contributing to drainage issues. By correlating these exterior defects with interior moisture staining found along the baseboards, we provided a complete overview of the necessary remediation steps to protect the home.
