NJ Home Maintenance Services completed a gutter cleaning, mesh gutter screen installation, and underground drainage project for a residential property in Teaneck, NJ. Our team thoroughly cleaned the gutters and installed mesh gutter screens to help prevent leaves and debris from clogging the gutter system. We also installed a new underground drainage system along the front left side of the home, connecting two downspouts and the existing sump pump discharge into a dedicated drainage line. The system redirects rainwater and sump pump discharge away from the foundation to a pop-up emitter located in the front left corner of the lawn. Because the property has limited natural pitch, the final section of the drainage line includes perforated piping surrounded by gravel to allow water to disperse into the surrounding soil. During heavier rainfall, excess water can discharge through the pop-up emitter. Accessible cleanouts were also installed at the downspout connections for future inspections and maintenance. This installation eliminates unsightly flexible downspout extensions, improves water management around the foundation, reduces the risk of water pooling near the home, and provides a cleaner, more permanent drainage solution.
