We completed a comprehensive attic restoration and energy efficiency project for a home in Pittsburgh. Our team addressed localized mold concerns and structural water damage before performing a complete insulation overhaul. We prioritized the building envelope by air sealing critical gaps with spray foam and removing compromised materials to ensure a clean, healthy environment. To maximize thermal performance, we installed a combination of Owens Corning fiberglass batts and a thick layer of loose-fill cellulose insulation. We also integrated a new attic fan system and improved ventilation to manage moisture and regulate temperatures effectively. The final result provided a durable, well-insulated space that significantly enhances the home's energy efficiency.
