Commercial Below-Grade Waterproofing — Kingsport, Tennessee
Performance Waterproofing LLC provided the complete below-grade waterproofing package for a new commercial building addition in Kingsport, TN. The crew installed roughly 2,310 sq ft of Henry Blueskin WP200 self-adhered bituminous membrane across all exterior foundation walls and footers and both sides of the interior below-grade stem wall, terminated with approximately 660 linear feet of aluminum termination bar and sealed with 925 BES. DB 200 drainage mat was applied over all vertical waterproofed surfaces to relieve hydrostatic pressure and shield the membrane during backfill. About 500 linear feet of exterior slab-to-wall joints were prepped and sealed with backer rod and Tremco Dymonic 100 polyurethane. Two approved change orders extended the system to the interior: CETCO Waterstop RX 101 and RX 102 hydrophilic waterstop at the lower and upper slab foundation walls with a vapor barrier tie-in to the WP200 system, and MiraSTOP BW bentonite waterproofing at the interior wall-to-slab interface — installed across two separate mobilizations timed immediately ahead of each concrete pour, since the material fails if it hydrates early. The work ran across multiple mobilizations from footers through post-sidewalk sealants, January–April 2026. Serving commercial and industrial projects across Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Georgia. contact@performancewaterproofingllc.com
