We completed an extensive exterior restoration on this Victorian-style home in China, Maine. Our team addressed significant paint failure on the wood lap siding while performing essential carpentry repairs to the wraparound porch and decking. The scope included the installation of new pressure-treated wooden stairs and matching lattice skirting. We performed thorough surface preparation by scraping peeling layers and removing biological growth before applying a fresh color palette of olive green and deep maroon. Decorative scalloped cedar shingles in the gables were carefully finished to highlight the architectural details. This comprehensive update restored the home's historic character while providing a durable, weather-resistant finish.
