This project began with an old-fashioned country bathroom that had great bones but a layout that no longer worked for the homeowners. A bulky linen closet took up valuable space, leaving the bathroom feeling tight and dated. We removed the closet entirely, redesigned the layout, and installed a stand-alone shower to give the couple a safer, more comfortable bathing option. To keep the charm of the original space, we chose finishes that felt warm and familiar, while the new vanity and tall storage cabinets brought in a clean, modern touch. The final result blends the comfort of country style with thoughtful updates that make daily use easier for an elderly couple—functional, fresh, and inviting.
