We installed a custom retractable awning over an existing wooden deck in Lake City. The project involved mounting the awning system directly to the white vinyl siding above the primary entry door to provide immediate shade for the outdoor seating area. This installation allows for improved climate control and protection from the elements. We selected a striped fabric featuring maroon, gray, and white tones to complement the home's blue shutters and red-painted deck. The retraction system allows the homeowners to adjust their coverage based on the sun's position throughout the day. This addition expanded the usable living space by creating a comfortable, shaded environment for the porch.
