We completed a comprehensive roof replacement for this San Diego residence, transitioning from worn asphalt shingles to a fresh, durable system. Our team removed the existing roofing materials, including sections of flat membrane, to inspect the structural integrity of the deck. We addressed significant wear by replacing damaged plywood and installing new fiberglass insulation in exposed sections to improve thermal performance. The new installation featured multi-tone asphalt shingles and a Titanium PSU30 self-adhered underlayment for superior moisture protection. We updated all roof penetrations, including plumbing vents, turbine vents, and a skylight, to ensure a completely watertight seal. The finished project provides a clean, uniform appearance that enhances the home's exterior while offering long-term protection against the coastal elements.
