We completed a full-scale flake floor coating project for this barndominium in Greenfield, Iowa. We started with an unfinished concrete subfloor that featured several expansion joints and surface cracks across the large open living spaces and hallways. Our team prepped the surfaces, repaired the existing cracks, and protected the surrounding carpeted stairs and walls before applying the final multi-layer system. We applied a high-gloss, speckled flake coating to create a durable and seamless finish that replaced the dull, unfinished concrete. This resilient surface was extended through the main rooms, recessed storage alcoves, and connecting hallways to provide a uniform aesthetic across the entire interior. The final result transformed the workspace and living areas into a clean, functional environment that is significantly easier to maintain.
