Chelsea Baptist Church Historic Building
Interior restoration of a historic building with over 125 years of history. This project required extensive surface preparation and meticulous attention to detail to preserve the historic character of the space while delivering a clean, refined, and durable finish. The scope of work included repairing cracked and damaged walls, addressing surface imperfections, and applying a Level 5 finish (full skim coat) to achieve smooth, uniform wall surfaces. Existing woodwork was transitioned from stain to paint, beginning with an oil-based primer to properly seal the wood, followed by a high-gloss white finish. Metal ceiling frames were primed and painted white, and the cast-iron radiators were properly primed and finished in Repose, a neutral color selected to complement the restored interior. The final result is a refreshed interior that honors the building’s historic integrity while providing a bright, cohesive, and professional appearance.
