Electrical and Cat6 Cabling Project – Manufacturing Facility, Irvine, CA Ring and Ping completed a specialized hybrid electrical and structured cabling installation for a manufacturing company in Irvine, enabling precise power usage monitoring and sensor-based control across 30 production machines. 30 Cat6 Drops for Machine Connectivity: Installed high-quality Cat6 cabling (CMR-rated) to each of the 30 machines, providing reliable Gigabit Ethernet communication between sensors, control boxes, and the central monitoring system—ensuring accurate real-time data collection for power consumption, operational metrics, and efficiency tracking. IDF Cabinet Installation: Supplied and mounted a professional wall-mount or floor-standing IDF cabinet to serve as the central distribution point. All Cat6 cables were neatly terminated, labeled, and dressed into patch panels for organized, serviceable infrastructure. 120V Power Distribution: Ran dedicated 120V electrical circuits to power the customer-provided control boxes at each machine location—ensuring safe, code-compliant power delivery with proper grounding, circuit protection, and separation from data cabling per NEC standards. Sensor & Control Box Integration: Coordinated with the customer to connect all pre-installed sensors and control boxes to the newly run Cat6 and power infrastructure. Verified terminations, continuity, and basic functionality on-site to confirm seamless integration with the monitoring system. Testing & Certification: All Cat6 runs were fully tested and certified using industry-standard equipment to meet performance specifications (NEXT, insertion loss, return loss, etc.), with documented results provided for compliance and future reference. Project Results The manufacturing facility now has a robust, integrated network and power backbone supporting intelligent energy monitoring across all 30 machines.
