Project Scope 1st Floor Network Cabling – Irvine Medical Device Facility The first floor required extensive structured cabling to support workstations, wireless coverage, and ceiling-mounted devices used throughout the medical device company’s office and operational areas. Installed 118 workstation locations, each with two Cat6 CMP cables to support data and voice connectivity. Installed 1 dedicated Cat6 CMP cable run for a wireless access point (WAP). Installed 14 ceiling locations, each with two Cat6 cables, to support additional network infrastructure and equipment. Mounted customer-provided wireless access points to ensure strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout the floor. Completed full network documentation, cable mapping, and labeling for long-term system management. 2nd Floor Office Network Cabling The second floor expansion provided structured cabling for additional offices and wireless infrastructure. Installed 40 workstation locations, each with two Cat6 network cables. Installed 3 dedicated Cat6 cable runs for wireless access points to provide full wireless coverage. Routed and secured all cabling according to commercial structured cabling standards. MDF (Main Distribution Frame) Buildout The MDF room was designed to support the entire network infrastructure for the Irvine facility. Installed a 2-post network rack for switches and patch panels.
