Warehouse & Office Network Cabling Installation Project Type: Industrial Warehouse & Office – Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics & Wireless Infrastructure Contractor: Ring and Ping Inc. – Network Cabling & Low Voltage Solutions Project Overview Ring and Ping Inc. completed a warehouse and office structured network cabling installation designed to support high-performance wired connectivity, fiber backbone distribution, and wireless access point (WAP) deployment. The project required a reliable and scalable Cat6 and OM3 multi-mode fiber optic infrastructure to support warehouse operations, office workstations, and wireless coverage throughout the facility. The installation was executed with an emphasis on clean cable management, durability, and long-term serviceability in an active warehouse environment. Project Objectives Install structured Cat6 network cabling for warehouse and office connectivity Deploy a central OM3 fiber optic backbone to an IDF located in the warehouse Support interior and exterior wireless access points with properly routed cabling and conduit Provide clean pathways between office spaces and the MDF Deliver a fully tested, certified, documented, and warrantied network infrastructure Scope of Work Fiber Optic Backbone – OM3 Multi-Mode Installation of one (1) IDF in the center of the warehouse Installation of one (1) 6-strand OM3 multi-mode fiber run Fiber terminated LC/LC, dressed, labeled, and tested Warehouse Network Cabling & Wireless Installation of (2) Tough Shed locations with (4) Cat6 cables each Installation of (10) WAP locations with (2) Cat6 cables per location Installation of four (4) ½-inch conduits, extending 5 feet down from the ceiling on interior walls to support exterior wireless access points Office Area Network Cabling Installation of 17 workstation locations with (2) Cat6 cables per location Installation of 2 office WAP locations with (2) Cat6 cables per location Pathways & Conduit Installation of 2-inch EMT conduit from the office area to the MDF to support structured cabling pathways Testing, Certification & Documentation Termination, testing, and labeling of all Cat6 and fiber optic cabling Machine-printed labels applied to all cables and terminations Copper cabling certified using Fluke DSX-5000 Fiber optic cabling tested for continuity and performance Delivery of complete documentation package including: Cable ID schedule Cable mapping Test results Patch-to-port cutsheets Project Challenges The project required coordination between warehouse and office environments with different cabling densities, ceiling heights, and mounting requirements. Exterior wireless access points required properly protected conduit drops while maintaining clean interior finishes. Solutions & Approach Ring and Ping Inc. implemented a structured installation approach using properly supported overhead pathways, organized terminations, and dedicated conduit routes. The centralized IDF and OM3 fiber backbone ensured reliable distribution across the warehouse, while clean Cat6 drops supported both fixed workstations and wireless infrastructure. Project Outcome The project was completed on schedule and delivered a fully tested, certified, and documented network infrastructure. The client received a clean, organized, and scalable system capable of supporting warehouse operations, office productivity, and wireless connectivity. Conclusion This project demonstrates Ring and Ping Inc.’s expertise in delivering warehouse and office structured cabling, fiber optic backbones, and wireless infrastructure. Through disciplined installation practices, professional testing, and detailed documentation, Ring and Ping Inc. provided a future-ready network solution designed for performance and growth.
