New Trailer Network Cabling & Fiber Optic Installation Project Type: Temporary / Modular Facility – Structured Cabling & Fiber Optics Contractor: Ring and Ping Inc. – Network Cabling & Low Voltage Solutions Project Overview Ring and Ping Inc. completed a structured network cabling and fiber optic installation for a newly deployed trailer facility. The project required reliable Cat6 network cabling for interior workstations and a single-mode fiber optic backbone to connect the trailer to the primary network infrastructure. The system was designed to deliver enterprise-grade performance, clean organization, and scalability while meeting the unique spatial and operational requirements of a modular trailer environment. Project Objectives Provide structured Cat6 network cabling for all trailer workstations Install a long-distance single-mode fiber optic connection through underground conduit Build a clean, organized rack environment inside the trailer Deliver a fully tested, certified, and warrantied network infrastructure Scope of Work Structured Network Cabling Installation of 24 network locations, each with (1) Cat6 cable Termination and labeling of all Cat6 cabling Fiber Optic Backbone Installation of single-mode fiber optic cable routed through 2-inch conduit Approximately 600 feet of conduit run Fiber terminated with LC connectors Fiber dressed, labeled, and tested for performance Rack & Cable Management Installation of 2-post server rack Installation of ladder racking Installation of vertical and horizontal wire management Organized termination of copper and fiber cabling Testing, Certification & Warranty All Cat6 cabling tested and certified to industry standards Fiber optic cabling tested and verified for continuity and performance Complete labeling of all cables using machine-printed labels Delivery of test results and documentation upon project completion All installed cabling covered by a manufacturer-backed warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and performance Project Challenges The limited space within the trailer required efficient rack layout and disciplined cable management. Long fiber runs through conduit required careful handling to maintain proper bend radius and protect fiber integrity. Solutions & Approach Ring and Ping Inc. implemented a compact, enterprise-grade rack solution with ladder racking and structured wire management to maximize space and airflow. Oversized conduit was utilized to protect the single-mode fiber and allow for future expansion. All cabling was installed, terminated, labeled, and tested in accordance with industry best practices. Project Outcome The project was completed on schedule and delivered a fully tested, certified, and warrantied network and fiber infrastructure. The client received a clean, organized installation supporting reliable connectivity and future growth.
