This home in West Temple was brand-new — built just four months before the May 2024 tornado and hail storm hit Central Texas. Despite being newly constructed, the storm caused shingle uplift and impact damage, making a full roof replacement necessary. We worked with the homeowner’s insurance company to secure approval for a complete replacement and helped them upgrade from a basic 3-tab shingle to GAF Timberline Armorshield II, a Class 4 impact-resistant roofing system designed to withstand hail and high winds. This upgrade was completed entirely within the insurance proceeds, giving the homeowner far better protection at no additional out-of-pocket cost. To improve ventilation and extend the lifespan of the new shingles, we also upgraded the static RVG-40 vents to wind turbines, allowing for stronger, more consistent attic airflow — especially beneficial in hot Central Texas climates.
