Fallen Tree

March 2026

This tree fell in a greenspace between commercial buildings and made lunchtime walkers nervous. We cut the tree trunk down to a movable size and carried the bees away. if we cut excess wood away until we reach the outside of the nesting cavity there is not as much weight left to manhandle- its mostly then just empty tree space filled with comb (though of course there's often 50+ pounds of honey and wax and a few more pounds of bees to contend with). This one took a lot of grunts and many sore muscles to move.
