We transformed a standard concrete garage and utility closet with a multi-step epoxy coating system. The process began with professional-grade floor grinding to remove surface imperfections and ensure a mechanical bond for the new materials. We also extended the coating into the utility room, carefully navigating the installation around the furnace, water heater, and plumbing manifold systems. For the finish, we applied a decorative chip system in the Tidal Wave colorway, featuring a quarter-inch flake blend. To provide a seamless transition and added protection, we integrated a coved base along the wall perimeters before applying a high-gloss topcoat. The final result is a durable, chemical-resistant surface that simplifies maintenance and improves the overall usability of the home's utility and storage spaces.
