Residential Roof Replacement
When it's time for a roof replacement, the process involves removing the existing layer of asphalt shingles with care to protect the surrounding areas like siding, landscaping, and decks. The roof deck is then prepared by replacing any bad wood with OSB plywood and refastening any loose wood. To ensure maximum protection, 6 feet of ice and water shield is installed on all eaves edges, and synthetic underlayment is applied over the roof surface to reduce the impact of wind-driven rain. Shingles are then installed according to the manufacturer's specifications, including starter course shingles, and fastened with galvanized roofing nails.
