We constructed a new elevated covered porch and integrated staircase for this home in Alpharetta. The project involved framing the structure with pressure-treated lumber and installing a roof to provide a protected outdoor living space. We also replaced the existing backyard boundaries with a new wooden picket fence featuring a secure double-gate entry. We utilized heavy-duty support posts and joists to ensure a stable foundation resting on reinforced concrete footings. The lower level features a concrete patio that extends beneath the deck to maximize the usable square footage of the backyard. This combination of a covered upper level and a secure perimeter provides a functional and private outdoor area for the homeowners.
