Custom Covered Back Porch with Privacy Screening in Acworth
October 2026
We transformed an open concrete patio into a functional covered outdoor living space for this home in Acworth. We constructed a new gable-roof structure over the existing slab to provide shade and protection from the elements. This addition significantly expanded the home's usable square footage while maintaining a seamless transition from the interior glass doors. The project involved installing white support columns and a finished tongue-and-groove ceiling equipped with recessed lighting and dual ceiling fans. We also integrated slatted privacy screens to define the space and provide seclusion from neighboring properties. These functional upgrades turned a basic backyard area into a comfortable environment for dining and relaxation.
