We constructed a new multi-level deck and a custom screened-in porch for this home in Atlanta. The project began with site preparation and the installation of a robust wooden frame attached to the existing brick and siding exterior. We integrated a skeletal overhead frame to support the new roof structure, transforming the rear of the residence into a functional outdoor living space. For the finishes, we used light wood deck flooring and installed a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling equipped with a black five-blade ceiling fan for comfort. The perimeter features durable black metal railings, and we added a screened enclosure to provide a bug-free environment while maintaining views of the pool area. We completed the build with horizontal plank skirting to enclose the lower crawlspace and a central staircase for easy yard access.
