We transformed this Stonecrest backyard by replacing an existing metal frame with a custom-built wooden pergola. Our team constructed the structure along the rear of the brick home, extending it over the existing concrete walkway to create a large shaded outdoor living space. We used pressure-treated lumber for the framework and added horizontal slats for additional shade and privacy. To complete the project and protect the wood, we applied a rich dark stain that contrasts sharply with the home's brick exterior. We also integrated multiple ceiling fans and lighting fixtures to enhance the functionality of the new poolside patio area.
