We completed a comprehensive deck renovation for this multi-story residence in Decatur. We removed the existing structure and replaced it with an expansive two-level wooden deck system that better serves the sloped, wooded backyard. The project involved framing the new multi-story structure and installing a custom staircase to connect the levels. Our team used pressure-treated lumber for all support posts, joists, and balustrades to ensure long-term durability against the elements. We set the main supports on new concrete footings and integrated intricate cross-bracing to provide maximum stability for the elevated design. This new outdoor living space significantly improves the home’s accessibility to the yard while providing a solid, functional area for relaxation.
