Residential Roof Replacement and IKO Cambridge Shingle Installation in Berwick
We completed a residential roof replacement in Berwick, Maine featuring IKO Cambridge architectural shingles. This project required a more in-depth approach due to multiple existing roof layers that had led to premature system failure. The multi-layer application trapped moisture over time, causing underlying issues that weren’t visible until removal began. As a result, the project required additional tear-off, disposal, and a significant amount of roof deck (plywood) replacement to restore a solid, secure foundation before installing the new roofing system. Once the structure was properly addressed, we installed a complete roofing system designed for long-term performance and protection. The finished result not only improves the home’s appearance but ensures the roof is now built to properly shed water and withstand the elements. This project highlights the importance of being proactive with roof maintenance. When water begins to penetrate the system, underlying damage is often already occurring. Annual inspections—especially once a roof reaches 15–20 years of age—can help identify issues early and prevent costly repairs caused by hidden deterioration.
