Master Bath Meets The Outdoors: Martha Acevedo's Custom Transformation! 🛁➡️🌳 This exciting project for Martha Acevedo was a perfect blend of structural outdoor work and detailed interior remodeling, showcasing our team's versatility! Martha wanted to revitalize her side yard and upgrade her main bathroom shower for a more luxurious feel. Phase 1: Side Yard Beauty and Water Management We focused on creating a highly functional and visually appealing walkway that also manages water efficiently: Custom Walkway Creation: We built a stunning side-yard walk path that incorporated large 24" x 24" concrete pavers surrounded by decorative black star gravel. Process: Included leveling and grading, laying down weed blocker and bendboard for a clean, cohesive, and low-maintenance design. Drainage Modifications: Although we didn't install her original system, we made critical adjustments. We connected her downspout gutters on one side to the existing drainage and installed a catch basin by the backyard door gate. This prevents water runoff onto the new pavers, ensuring a dry, safe path. Irrigation Upgrade (Optional): Installed a comprehensive House Sprinkler Irrigation System divided into up to five zones for water conservation and optimal coverage across the property. Trash Area Integration: Seamlessly integrated a designated paver trash area to securely hold the trash can, aligning with the overall design. Phase 2: Master Bathroom Luxury Build-Out Martha also allowed us to showcase our interior/extension expertise by upgrading her master shower! Demolition: The old plastic shower and glass door were carefully removed, ensuring minimal disruption. Drainage Relocation & Linear Drain: We relocated the drain pipe closer to the wall to accommodate the installation of a modern linear drain (materials provided by us, excluding the drain itself). New Shower Pan Construction: We built a new, watertight shower pan using plastic underlayment and poured concrete with the precise slope needed for efficient water drainage and a durable foundation. New Shower Floor Tile Installation: Installed the new shower floor tiles using thin-set mortar, ready for the final finish (client selected and provided tiles).
