Project Case Review: Flagstone Walkway & Property Access Restoration
This project focused on correcting long-term settling and drainage issues affecting the home’s main walkways while restoring curb appeal and safety. The original flagstone paths had begun to sink and shift due to an unstable base and water undermining the structure. We started by carefully removing the existing flagstone, reclaiming as much of the original material as possible. From there, we rebuilt the base from the ground up—excavating, compacting, and correcting drainage flow to stop future movement. Once the foundation was stabilized correctly, the reclaimed flagstone was reinstalled in a tighter, more intentional pattern, with improved edging and alignment for durability and a clean finish. Drainage was repositioned where needed to protect the new installation and extend the life of the walkways. The result is a solid, level, and visually cohesive entrance and access system that feels intentional, safe, and built to last—without losing the character of the original stone. 📸 Photos below show how proper preparation and planning make all the difference.
