Boiler feed meter readings indicated a potential return line leak. Upon investigation, a severely corroded section of return piping was found within a basement wall. The damaged section was cut out and removed, new piping was installed, and the system was refilled and tested. The repair eliminated the leaks, reducing unnecessary water consumption while also preventing further oxidation and corrosion caused by excessive fresh water being fed to the boiler.
