• Wood Rot Repair

Project in Forest Hills TN

May 2026

On this project in Nashville, our team was brought in to address significant water intrusion and structural damage on a large exterior bump-out. The existing cedar siding was carefully removed to expose the underlying structure, where extensive wood rot and compromised framing were discovered. We performed a full structural repair, removing all damaged materials and replacing them with new, properly treated framing to restore the integrity of the wall system. Once the framing was sound, we installed a comprehensive waterproofing system to protect the bump-out from future moisture intrusion. After ensuring the structure was fully sealed and weather-tight, we reinstalled new cedar siding to match the original appearance of the home. The project was completed with detailed caulking, sealing, and a full paint application, color-matched to seamlessly blend with the existing exterior. The end result is a structurally sound, fully protected bump-out that maintains the home’s original aesthetic while significantly improving its durability and resistance to future damage.
