Installing Shower and New Piping
The installation of the new shower began by positioning and securing the shower base or pan in place, ensuring it was level and properly aligned with the drain. New piping for the water supply lines was installed, connecting the hot and cold water lines to the shower valve, ensuring the pipes were tightly secured and leak-free. The valve was then installed and connected to the showerhead and diverter, ensuring all fittings were sealed with pipe tape or thread sealant to prevent leaks. New drain piping was installed under the shower, ensuring proper alignment with the drain and slope for efficient water flow. The drain assembly was connected to the piping, and the shower base was sealed to the floor to prevent water from leaking. Once the piping and fixtures were installed, the showerhead and handle were mounted and connected to the water supply. The system was then tested for water flow, pressure, and temperature to ensure everything was functioning properly, with no leaks or blockages.
